Kinja'd!!!

My dad was going through a box and found this bottle of beer...from 1968. By my math he was 17 when he got it. From what I know of his teen years, it was lucky to survive. As the label says, Good luck.

Could it actually taste any worse 50 years old than it does freshly brewed?

That’s what I was thinking. Probably still tastes about the same. Huge fan of Olympia by the way

I remember Olympia and Lucky Lager as the beers that my grandfather drank. For some reason I was captivated by those short, wide bottles.

The horseshoe is upside down. You can’t have good luck with it in that position because all of the luck will run out...

I would keep it because I’m sentimental but it could be worth something if you two don’t care. Or drink it and see what happens

If the seal is airtight, it won't be much different at fifty years old than a couple of years old. It gets to equilibrium and stays there.

When I was in grad school, 12-packs of Oly were super cheap at the local Kroger, so that’s all I drank as a poor college student for many years. Not too terrible, I wasn’t picky.

That beer was brewed when I was two. I’m sure it’s fine....

I drank tons of it in grad school because it was cheap. And, out of the choices for the cheapest beer at the store, it was by far the best. Which really isn’t saying much, but I sure drank it.

My go to in college was Genesee 6 pack 12ozs that were frequently on sale as buy one get one. so about $4 for 12 12oz. Olympia wasn’t a thing there or else that, rainier or Hamms would have been the ones

My dad was a Lucky drinker but mostly cans. He’s since moved “up” to Coors Light.
